The ICMM has recently launched Land Acquisition and Resettlement: Lessons learned, a guidebook on planning for resettlement, engaging with stakeholders, compensating for loss of land and restoring livelihoods, addressing the needs of vulnerable people, overseeing construction, ongoing community development interventions, and monitoring impacts. The 10 modules in this guide offer insights based on the experience of 41 projects from around the world, in both the mining sector as well as other sectors.
